Annual General Meeting

MSOG AGM Christmas Social - 7.30 pm, Tuesday, 9 December, Home Farm We will bring in Christmas early with our AGM, and Social, which will include planning for the coming year and our projects for 2009 and the opportunity to sample some cider and other early-festive fun! Guest speakers and different varieties of apples to try .

Grafting Course (1)

Grafting Course (1) – Sunday, 1 February, 2009, Home Farm. 11-3.30 Cost £25 members/ £35 non members Our first of two grafting course will be held at Home Farm, National trust estate olffice, Stowe landscape gardens and will be a chance to learn a new skill or refine existing skills as well as to take home 3 grafted trees of your making. Theory and hands on experience.

First National Scion Wood Exchange – Saturday / Sunday, 7-8, February, 2009 - Buckingham Garden Centre

Saturday / Sunday, 7-8, February, 2009 - Buckingham Garden Centre. This will be an exciting and innovative MSOG weekend– our major event of the year and what is probably the UK first ever scion wood exchange. We will have a scion wood exchange with 100 varieties available, displays and events featuring MSOG as well as grafting workshops and other fruit talks, demonstrations, and fruit related products.

Apple Tree Planting at Laurel Terrace, Stowe – 1pm, 21 February, 2009

We will be planting new trees, grafted in the last three years by the Marcus, from the original trees on the estate, at the Laurel Terrace – an important milestone in the conservation plan of Stowes historic orchards
